ITAMSAT IO-26

ITAMSAT is the first Italian Amateur satellite designed, built and operated by a small team of AMSAT members from Italy.

Launched on the 26th September 1993 from the ESA spaceport of Kourou (French Guyana) with an Ariane 4 launcher, was succesfully switched on from the command station in Milano at 09:11 UTC on 26/09/1993.

After nearly 10 years of operation, ITAMSAT is still trasmitting telemetry and status information on 435.822 MHz PSK.
